What Is FINA?
The Federation of International Ninja Athletics organizes and promotes a worldwide series of Ninja Competitions for athletes of all ages. FINA competitions have different course styles and allow athletes to progress to further events with a ninja versus the course system.
Do You Have To Be On A Ninja Team To Compete?
No! Anyone can compete, even adults! You self register through this link. FINA competitions require a NinjaWorks ID. You can sign up for one of those at NinjaWorks.com
So How Do FINA Competitions Work?
FINA has three main competition styles, Speed, Endurance, and Ninja vs. Ninja.
Speed courses consist of eight obstacles that Ninjas complete within a strict time limit. They recieve one point for each completion. They are given two runs, with their best run counting as their qualifying score.
Endurance courses consist of twelve obstacles that have a focus on strength. They recieve one point for each completion, and seek to get a perfect score within the time limit.
There are several different age divisions.
A competitor's age is their age as of January 1st, 2025. Example - If your son is seven now but turning eight on February 2nd, they still compete the entire season in the 7 & Under Boys division because on 1/1/25 they were still seven years old.
Athletes can qualify on to the next round (Sectionals) one of three ways
